DELF B2 ORAL EXAM

The DELF B2 exam assesses basic communication skills at the B2 level (CEFR). The DELF B2 oral exam is designed to test your ability to communicate effectively in French at an upper-intermediate level.

🎯 At this Level, you can

• Express yourself fluently and spontaneously with minimal hesitation.

• Structure your speech clearly (introduction, development, conclusion).

• Justify your opinions and arguments logically.

• React appropriately to the examiner’s arguments.

• Use a range of vocabulary and complex grammatical structures.

• Show coherence and cohesion in your discourse.

📝Structure of the Exam The oral exam consists of three parts:

1. 🗣️Monologue suivi (Independent Speech) 30min prep

   • You receive two topics and choose one.

   • You present your argument.

2. 🤝Interaction (Discussion with the Examiner)

   • The examiner asks questions related to your topic.

   • You must defend your point of view, justify your ideas, and react spontaneously.

3. ⚖️Debate (Exchange of Opinions)

   • The examiner takes a different stance on your topic.

   • You need to engage in a debate, express agreement/disagreement, and argue logically.

📅 At the scheduled date and time

Your student will first enter our Virtual Oral Preparation Room for 30 minutes. Following this, the student will proceed directly to the Virtual Oral Exam Room. The Mock Oral Exam will last 30 minutes, making the entire process a total of 60 min.

👀 Be Present

As a teacher, you can choose to attend the exam session. However, strict rules apply: No interference or appearing on screen is allowed. We particularly recommend being present for younger students or beginners to provide extra reassurance.

📹 Video Recording

If you’re unable to attend or your student prefers to take the exam independently at home, we can send you a video recording of the session via email. This allows you to review the exam together, address any weaknesses, and support their progress.
